Any activity that involves serving and preparing food at an event or meeting will require at least one exec member to have a food hygiene certificate. This member of the exec must be present to supervise food preparation to ensure that all groups produce food that is safe to eat.
To facilitate this, we provide a free online course in basic food hygiene on which up to two members of the exec can enrol. This will take around four hours to complete with multiple-choice tests at the end of each section of the course. Once completed, you will get a nationally recognised Basic Food Hygiene Qualification and a certificate.
How to sign up to the course?
To sign up for the course, email us with the society's name as well as the names and emails of the members who are undertaking the course. We will then provide you with login details and a guide allowing you to complete the course.
